About Me

Hi, I’m David - though somewhere along the way the nickname D2 stuck. I’ve spent over 40 years in temperature metrology, working across calibration, training, technical writing, and international projects. Alongside the technical, I’ve always been drawn to creativity and meaning: exploring AI, developing digital tools, journaling, photography, and connecting with others through shared ideas.

In 2013, I trained as a counsellor — an experience that taught me the value of listening deeply: to people, to systems, and to myself. Through voluntary counselling and supporting online groups, I’ve found ways to contribute and stay connected to the wider community https://davidsouthworth.net
